Our President is simply the biggest moron on the face of the Earth. He is an embarrassment to our Country and I cannot believe we keep him in power.

He should go the way of Saddam and soon.

Hillary Clinton - Very Disappointing

Hillary Clinton (Election Site, News) disappointed many of us with her "sense of the Senate" vote to label the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as a "terrorist organization". What purpose does this serve? It will inflame the already radical Iranians, it will further inflame those moderates who may be questioning their Government in Iran and it will give Bush (a proven nutcase as a Commander of the Military) ammunition to start a war with Iran.

What is most troubling here is her judgment. This showed a real lack of judgment and I think it has put me over the edge to not support her.

I do also agree with the article about the "Sense of the Senate" against the Saudis. It is truly the Saudis who are killing us and were the leaders of the 9/11 attacks. But, they are "FOB" - Friends of Bush.

Obama (Election Site, News) was not much better by just not voting (See the votes here). This is an indicator of a lack of leadership and lack of ability to make a "tough call".  I am deeply disappointed by both of these candidates as the first real big moment of truth where they could do something and they decided to either do something stupid or just run away.

US Republican Guru: We Must Bomb Iran

A senior foreign policy adviser to the Republican frontrunner Rudy Giuliani has urged that Iran be bombed using cruise missiles and "bunker busters" to set back Teheran’s nuclear programme by at least five years. The tough message was delivered by Norman Podhoretz, one of the founders of neoconservatism.

My comments: This is utter madness and Norman Podhoretz cannot die fast enough. This guy was a direct contributor to the nightmare we are in in Iraq (Through Rummy and Wolfowitz) and now is having private meetings with the Nut in the White House encouraging him to bomb Iran? Read this article, it is crazy! He says this will take "5 minutes". You just wake up one morning and fire the missiles.

Another example where Giuliani is a nutball for listening to this guy.

'We don't have the military capability to play chicken with Iran'

Harsh US sanctions announced yesterday against Iran could help to lay the groundwork for an armed conflict that America's military simply isn't prepared for, Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) told MSNBC host Tucker Carlson. This is a theme I have talked about for many years on this blog which is you have to "pick your battles" Right now, we are so bogged down in a war which is meaningless that we cannot defend ourselves against a true threat - Iran.

I also agree with Moran when he says the US Government under Bush is really just "taunting" the Iranians as a pretense to go to war. As Moran says, "We have history with this Gang in the whitehouse" so these types of theories are well grounded.
