 As I have stated earlier, I am disgusted by what the media whore Michaele Salahi and her pimp husband Tareq Salahi did. They now have hired an "entertainment lawyer" to represent them and are asking if you would like to be on their "media circuit circus".

My opinion, since I first heard of this is we should use this as an example where reality T.V. gets "real". You do this to the White House security and to the President of the United States and you get hammered. You get locked up in cells which make Gitmo look good. You have the FBI run through anything and everything you have ever done. You have the IRS check over your income tax and your life is completely ruined forever.  

You want to be on reality T.V. Well, let's make it real. 

Steve Marmel over at Huffington Post gets it right with his article. Here is an excerpt:

"No... the more important example should be made of the Salahis. They are the high-profile face of this debacle, the smiling, vapid dolts who should be punished accordingly. 

 Treat them as the threat they COULD have been, and make an example of them to anybody else who’d like to make a run at the President for any reason - be it personal gain, or baser motives. 

 Let their misery be the cautionary tale for anyone who thinks the real world has endless patience for behavior unbecoming of a toothless carny. 

That’s the dose of reality I’d like to see come out of this."

Representative Cantor (R-VA) Holds Job Fair Funded by Stimulus (After Saying Stimulus was Failure)

 Representative Eric Cantor (Republican from Virginia and as seen in his Cowardly Lion costume on the right) has spent most of his time recently saying how bad the stimulus program has been and has called it an "utter failure". You can imagine our interest then when we found out he was hosting a job fair for his district where OVER HALF of the participants were hiring USING STIMULUS MONEY and directly because of the stimulus.

The reporters rightfully asked the staff (Cantor was too much of coward to address the issue) if they found irony in all of this. They refused to answer probably under the penalty of death by "Darth Vader" Cantor. 

The hypocrisy of the right wing will never cease to amaze me.

The Idiocy of the Tea Party Movement is Shown Here - "Columbus Go Home"!

For the longest time I have thought the Tea Party movement was just made of a bunch of conspiracy theory lunatics who will scream at anything. Some do this to try and "win the lottery" to get onto T.V. however most do it because they are just void of any ideas and decorum. Somehow acting like a jerk is OK as long as you wrap yourself in the flag. 

Well, as if to prove my point, a person "punked" a tea party gathering in Minnesota. This person was able to get on the speaker's list and started speaking about how America is being destroyed by immigration. Immigrants are taking American's jobs and immigrants are committing crimes at huge rates. Further, they bring disease with them like "smallpox". His name is Robert Erickson 

As Robert Erickson spoke, the cheers became louder and louder. Finally, he starts a chant "Columbus go home.. Columbus go home.." Of course, the immigrants he was discussing were Europeans who came to America and committed genocide on the native Americans. 

But, the teabaggers were not listening. Rather, they just joined in the chants and screaming at the top of their lungs words that they had no idea of the meaning. They continued to chant "Columbus go home" and cheer the speaker as he continued to speak of the problems of mostly white European settlers. 

Proof the tea party movement is just a bunch of noise. The video is below and I have also included a transcript of his speech:

GOP Stalinists Make Their Stand in Upstate New York

The GOP Stalinists have made their stand and it is in the 23d Congressional District of Upstate New York. Frank Rich writes in today's New York Times in an article titled "The GOP Stalinists Invade Upstate New York" that they have all converged including the nuttiest of the nuts Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck. Crazy things are going on. They are saying they want to stand up to Government intervention yet the largest employer in the District is, well, THE GOVERNMENT (Ft. Drum, NY). Facts have never bothered Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck and it is amazing how they can just ignore these interesting little tid-bits. 

Here is a little bit of what Frank Rich is writing. You have to go to the Op-Ed to really understand it all. He says:

"But preposterous as it sounds, the real action migrated to New York’s 23rd, a rural Congressional district abutting Canada. That this pastoral setting could become a G.O.P. killing field, attracting an all-star cast of combatants led by Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, William Kristol and Newt Gingrich, is a premise out of a Depression-era screwball comedy. But such farces have become the norm for the conservative movement — whether the participants are dressing up in full “tea party” drag or not. 

The battle for upstate New York confirms just how swiftly the right has devolved into a wacky, paranoid cult that is as eager to eat its own as it is to destroy Obama. The movement’s undisputed leaders, Palin and Beck, neither of whom have what Palin once called the “actual responsibilities” of public office, would gladly see the Republican Party die on the cross of right-wing ideological purity. Over the short term, at least, their wish could come true."

The candidate they are supporting does not live in the district and was perfectly happy to accept an ear mark for a hospital where he was on the finance committee. This ear mark was to the tune of $479K. But, again, why bother with facts. 

I have an idea. Let Sarah Palin get her way but let's live up to the rhetoric. CLOSE FT. DRUM so there will be no "Government interference and largess", give back the ear mark to the Government and let the "rugged up staters" fend for themselves. 

As Frank Rich says, without the Government intervention in that district which Palin, Malkin and Beck despise so much, the 23d district would be a "Siberia of Joblessness". 

The Mob Goes After Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC)

More on the mob attacks at town halls. This time they show they can be disrespectful and disrupting to just about everyone, even a Republican. Senator Lindsey Graham tries to hold a town hall in Greenville South Carolina but it is disrupted by the mob. 

What is the mob trying to accomplish? I am not sure but one thing has become clear. They are the lunatic's in today's politics. The sad part however is these lunatics are actually in control of the Republican Party. Now, the Democrats have lunatics too but they are clearly on the fringe of the party. The Republicans have turned the keys to the kingdom over to their lunatics made up of mad right wingers, racists, radical Christians and the militias / domestic terrorists. 

I wonder if the Democrats are just waiting to use all this film in the next elections. Remind the entire Country of the radical nature of the Republican Party. They will win big. While the mob has the "big mouth", the normal centrist Democrats have the majority votes.

This is a very interesting development and one which actually lends credibility to the Tea Party movement. If they TRULY are for limited Government (both economically and socially) and are TRULY non-partisan then they may have something. While this should be watched it is a development I did not expect. They, so far, have been insanely partisan and have ignored the fact that it is the REPUBLICANS who took a Government surplus and turned it into a massive deficit. 

To this point they have ignored the big government growth when the REPUBLICANS had full control of Congress and the Presidency. Let's keep an eye on this and see if it is a real movement or is it just another trick up Dick Armey's sleeve. One thing very interesting about this article is after months of saying this movement is "grass roots" and not affiliated with big groups, they have now all but admitted these town halls etc. were planned and organized by Armey's Freedomworks group. President Obama Approval Rating Up 6%

Now that the summer mob scene is over and we have got back to more reasoned debate and discussion it appears the Country has regained control of its senses. President Obama's approval rating is up 6%. I believe this is because people are really listening and understanding that he truly has a solution to the economy and health care. 

While I am sure faux news will try to spin it a different way, I actually have more faith in America and the American people. They have come to their senses. 

The Glenn Beck Freak Show

This is incredible. The Glenn Beck freak show continues as this photographer "creates" tears for Glenn so he can look like he is crying. I wonder how often this occurs on the T.V. show. We all know this guy is a phoney since he changed his view on health care (see post below when just about 1 year ago, Glenn Beck proclaimed the US as having horrible health care). 

It amazes me that the so called "conservatives" cannot see through the conservative hucksters like Beck, Coulter, Hannity and Limbaugh. They are in it for the money. They are laughing all the way to the bank as they get the conservatives in mid-America to follow them. If they truly believed in this Country they would not be making obscene amounts of money off of it. Ask them how many served in the military? How many took low paying jobs to help the Country.  They are all baffoons and the "conservatives" who follow them are being suckered. 

Beck Advertising Exodus Continues

The good news is the exodus of advertisers continues off of the craziest show to be on T.V. since Mr. Ed. The good news was Mr. Ed was funny and was a talking horse. Mr. Ed talked from his mouth though. Glenn Beck is the "other side" of Mr. Ed if you know what I mean. A partial list of GREAT COMPANIES leaving this crazy nut bag:

Glenn Beck - The Head Nutbag

Sorry Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter, you have been dethroned. The head nutbag on the right is now clearly Glenn Beck. He believes President Obama is a racist, he believes people should bring guns to President Obama's meetings, he believes health care should not be reformed (even after he told us 1 year ago the health care system was the worst in the world), to name a few of his idiotic stances.

Yes, the torch has now passed and the new one on the thrown of right leaning nutbags is none other than Glenn Beck. But, of course, don't ask him to spell oligarch right. He literally cannot spell the word even though he tries to use it in a fun, kind of folksy way.
