The Recording Industry Nazi Group (RIAA) is now starting to sue people who make copies of their CDs on their computers. These people are Nazis through and through and I have one statement for them: F**K YOU.

When I buy a CD I can do whatever I want with it as long as I do not make copies for resale. You do not control ANY PRODUCT that is in my house and stays in my house. Hey, RIAA, what did you think that "burn" button was for on my iTunes software.

What a group of assholes. They have too much money and too much time. I will take every CD I own and mail it back to them so they can keep their precious little piece of shit disc (but only after I copy them on my hard drive)!

Congratulations to R.E.M - Inducted into GA Music HOF

Congratulations to one of the greatest bands (and certainly one of the longest lasting and most relevant) bands in the world. R.E.M!! They were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame on the 20th of September 2006. This was a well deserved honor and I am thrilled to see this great band continue to get recognition.

Steve Jobs v Greedy Music Executives

Steve Jobs has lashed out against music executives who want him to raise the price of downloading music. What!? Music should be cheaper and cheaper given that the cost of distribution has become close to zero.  I hope Steve Jobs can hold on against this cartel of music execs.

My question is how can we eliminate the music executives all together? Let the musicians sell directly to iTunes and I download to my iPod. Who needs the fat cats in their posh offices talking about distribution etc. There is none.

I, for one, will only buy music if it is on iTunes and can be downloaded to my iPod. I never, never, go to a music store and look through all that polluting plastic to find music. It is iTunes to iBook to iPod or nothing. Therefore, I do not need these fat cats. I need, first and foremost, great musicians such as R.E.M., and Green Day. I then need Steve Jobs and my handy dandy iPod. After that, the distributors, producers, middlemen and strap hangers can go find something else to do. They add no value.
