Windtalker - 4 Star Movie

I watched Windtalker tonight and I clearly rate it a 4 Star movie. The acting was good led by Nicholas Cage but it was the story that was amazing. First, you have a group of people who have been sent to reservations and have been essentially exterminated by the U.S. Government going off to fight.

Second, it was just amazing to see the Navajo language get used as a code. I hope the Navajo never lose their culture and language. It is something to be very proud of. The idea that the Marines would assign a Marine to kill the Navajo Code Talker if he was to be captured was amazing. It was the "code" the Marine was protecting not the Navajo himself.

While this seems cold, I suppose this is what war is all about. Some sacrifice for the good of the others.  The good of the "many" outweighs the good of the few, or the one. This is what Spock said in Star Trek and that lesson is to be learned in this movie.

Definitely, a "must see" movie that is out on DVD so it should be a good watch at home, especially if you have a home theater.
