Alltel is One Horrible Company.. .Avoid at All Costs

I have not done a "service sucks" blog entry for a long time but tonight I felt compelled to report out on Alltel. This is one horrible cell phone company. Since virtually all the cell phone companies suck, being called out as really bad means this company is a complete disaster. Why do I say this::

1. Customer service is horrible.
2. Transfers galore along with "hang ups" when they do not know the answer to your question. 
3. The agents do not know what they are doing. Twice I have had to correct them.  

The straw that broke the camel's back was a simple request. This request from me was to send me a copy of the contract I have with them. I thought they were taking advantage so I wanted to see "line and verse" on what was required and what was not required. At that point, the CS agent had no idea how to get that contract (I had signed up on line so it was all done electronically). He said there "was none". I told him if there wasn't any then I want to cancel and I owe nothing since there really is not a contract. 

That was like pushing a pinball machine and causing it to tilt. I could almost see the smoke coming out of his ears indicating information overload for the dumb guy on the other end of the phone. 

So, today Alltel wins the award, which has not been given away recently, as a SERVICE SUCKS company. 

Wells Fargo Customer Service SUCKS

An award winner! Wells Fargo Bank wins with the worst customer service known to man. I have been on hold for over 20 minutes now and continue to hold.

The funny thing is that the first agent I reached, Lee Dominquez, was on hold with me as he tried to "warm transfer" me to the agent who could help. But, even Lee couldn't wait any longer. He threw me in the queue and just left me there. I asked him if he saw the irony in the fact that he, a customer service "Team Member" couldn't wait, but I, the customer, was supposed to wait.

I was calling to pay off a mortgage. I am sure if I was calling to buy something I would have been jumped to the front.

For this act of shitty customer service Wells Fargo wins the "Shitty customer service award".
