Major Michael Mundell died from an IED device explosion on Friday in Fallujah. A 47 year old (Gee gikes) Major had been recalled from the IRR list and sent over to Iraq. He was an Armor officer but, like most IRR, was working outside his MOS in a training unit and he was looking for and clearing IED locations.
Major Mundell had been out of the Army for 12 years prior to being recalled. He leaves a wife and four children.
