Dadmanly has said that we need MILBLOGGERS because they are the only ones who will be positive. Well, even his own Generals agree that things are "not so good" so where are all these good things. If things were going good, you would think we could drawdown since we already have almost twice as many soldiers there as we expected.
However, this week Gen Casey, the top commander in Iraq said that, "...we are in a period of greater uncertainty than we were in June and July". Folks, for those who have never been in Washington, that is code for, "Things are really dorked up".
Then, the silliness starts with the spokesman who has taken his lessons from Rumsfeld. Lawrence DiRita said,
"In July he had one assessment. He has an assessment now that could still result in what he said earlier, it could result in no change, it could result in more,"
Can someone explain what the purpose of that statement is? Basically, he said, "it could go up, down or stay the same". Well, no sh*t! And we wonder why no one trusts what the military says. Don't you think we could get a better answer from the Pentagon when asked such a simple question as, "How is it going in Iraq"?
We also learn that the soldiers who had to buy their own equipment to go to war have not been reimbursed from the Pentagon even though it has been 1 year since the Congress passed a law requiring the pentagon to pay.
And finally, more on the censorship of MILBLOGGERS proving my point that they are anything but "fair and balanced". It even says they cannot talk about their job responsibilities. Wow, a lot of MILBLOGS I read are about to get shut down or their authors put in jail!

You Can Resist Even if You are In The Military!
